Statistical Analysis of Basal Cell Epithelioma in Dep. Dermatology of Dokkyo University School of Medicine.
124 cases of basal cell epitheliomas were observed in our clinic for 20 years. The male/female ratio was 1.8 : 1. The number of patients had been increasing for the last four or five years. The most frequent occupation was farmer (27.4%) . The common sites were head, face and neck, 80.1% of patients had tumors that were less than 2cm in diameter at the first consultation. Histologically, solid type was 42.4%. Almost all the treatments in our clinic were excisions.
