Abstract
A 7-year-old boy has had many papules arranged in linear fashion on his nose and left cheek for 5 years. Biopsy specimen showed strands of basaloid cells in middle part of the dermis, and in some sections several horn cysts were observed within the masses of the basaloid cells. No pits were observed on his palms and soles, and no skeletal abnormalities were seen.
From a study on literature, there are only five cases of unilateral linear basal cell nevus (UBCN) in Japan, and this is the first case occurring on the face.
