This paper analyzes on touristic motivation through the questionnaire survey targeting tourists who visit the Nandashan located in Liaoning Province in China. The questionnaire covers five individual features and seven elements for rural tourism development in terms of touristic motivation. The result shows that the former features are not directly related to the touristic motivation but the latter elements are related to it to a certain degree. The paper also identifies that main reasons for urban people to visit rural area are to feel spirit refreshment and enjoy natural landscapes. The development of rural tourism in China remains to be initial stage against which requires appropriate measures taken for activating rural economy.
