Abstract
A model describing the fragmentation of jets in hadronic interactions is here presented. The model is based on elastic quark scattering in a "dual-string" picture where the technics of tunneling is used to explain how the strings split up into fragments of jets. We derive an expression for the probability of producing jets from scattering of quarks and discuss some of its implication on the jet-phenomena.
