On the basis of the Bethe-Salpeter equation with an instantaneous interaction, the non-covariant renormalization procedure is proposed for the bound q and q^^-. It is shown that the divergence in the vertex is exactly removed. An estimate of the correctly renormalized Γ(J/F→1^+1^-) is made for a model with the one-gluon-exchange potential. It is found to be 1.64 keV, which is to be compared with the non-relativistic value 2.90 keV.
