The expansion of the geophysical data distributed on the earth's surface is generally givenby spherical harmonics series in which z-axis of the polar coordinate is taken to be the rotationalaxis of the earth. For some regional mathematical treatment of such geophysical data, the expansion into spherical harmonics series whose pole is located at an arbitrary point is sometimes very convenient. The transformation equations of the coefficients of spherical harmonics series are given here.
