Studies on Measuring Time Length of L_Aeq Concidering Noise Levels Distribution

Abstract

It is important to study measuring time length of L_Aeq in urban noise survey.
Environmental noise measurements were made to examine the relations between measuring time length and amount of deviation in L_Aeq, and the relation between L_Aeq and L_x.
The result show that
1) deviation in L_Aeq is not improved if the measurement is made over 10minites.
2) L_Aeq is accurately estimated from existing data of L_x with the aid of a certain equation.
It is concluded that the ordinary methods for L₅₀ is applicable to L_Aeq measurements in environmental noise servay.
