Since great variability is generally included in natural disasters, it’s necessary to evaluate the risk considering the variability. Because of the rapid development of numerical simulations, the risk analysis in consideration of the variability is becoming possible. However, there is still difficulties to perform a large number of simulation cases at the practical level. This paper introduce studies in that DEM simulations and data science techniques are efficiently combined to evaluate the risk of rockfalls and sediment flow problems. Through the introductions of those studies, the importance of integrating disaster simulations and data science techniques is discussed.
