Study Meeting on Wireless Slip Rings – Its Activities and Achievement –

Abstract

  The Reference System of a solar power satellite by NASA uses a rotary joint (RJ) and a slip ring (SR), which points a solar cell panel and a transmitting antenna to the sun and the earth, respectively. The SR with brushes is not definitely difficult, but makes debris during operation. Accordingly, the authors determined to hold a meeting to study wireless SRs.
