Symptoms and signs of STD are often observed in the oropharyngeal area, but the diagnosis of STD is extremely difficult in this area, where individual symptoms vary and identifying characteristics are few. It may not be an exaggeration to say that a patient is suspected of having an STD after the first visit.
Since 1988, our institution has been actively involved in the diagnosis and treatment of STD. The following report will focus on syphilis and AIDS. Herpes and chlamydia, as well as critical factors after suspecting the infection of STD will also be discussed.
