This paper presents the strength and durability condition investigation method of cable members covered by polyethylene for cable-stayed bridge. The appearance investigation was carried out for cables of the cable-stayed bridge which was damaged by the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake. In order to check the steel wire condition of cable which is covered with polyethylene, semi-destructive investigation was proposed. Moreover, the repair method by the welding and waterproof securing test method of the polyethylene cover were also carried out.
