BP-A bearing tracks girder deformation with the bearing plate contact surface. Although, there have been few studies on the effect of the corrosion degree on the behavior of the bearing and on the horizontal forces in the lower flange that cause fatigue cracks in the sole plate edge welds. In this study, the effects of different degrees of corrosion on the BP-A bearing contact surface on the bearing behavior and surrounding stresses were investigated. The results showed that the position of the center of rotation of the bearing varies according to the degree of corrosion, and the magnitude of the axial stress in the lower flange changes according to this behavior.
