I have heavily involved in the earthquake recovery support project happened at Tohoku and other area in Japan. In this connection, I have visited USA and China four or five times a year to investigate how Amazon effect act to this project. Through this investigation, I really feel, Japan is big behind in implementing IT technology for the revitalizing the regional area. To overcome this problem, the Super City concept by the Cabinet Office and the Prime Minister’s statement have been proposed from the government, although I understood, we have to spend lot of money and time for this revitalization. On this point, I think the first step we to do is to start from revitalizing the local area by setting up the carrying platform. That means to create a mechanism to carry things and peoples to any place whenever and wherever everybody like it by introducing the automatic transportation vehicles of local 5G,etc. Therefore, I strongly propose it call “smart town concept” based upon the innovation from a local area.
