This research fist clarifies associations between transnational family caregiving for older adults and caregivers’ wellness in Japanese Americans in the U.S. and Japanese Taiwanese in Taiwan. Second, it identifies interactions between international migration, intergenerational support, and wellness. Third, the research proposes policy implications of transnational caregiving. Semi-structured interviews were conducted in the two nations. As a result of content analyses, policy implications were demonstrated; 1) Supportive social and workplace policies; 2) Improvement of healthcare policies; 3) Visa for caregivers; 4) Diversity in care workers; 5) Health insurance for older adults in their immigrated nations; and 6) Innovation of AI and robots.
