Identification of Characteristics of Chillers using Cycle Simulator

Abstract

Simulator for air cooled chillers that is able to handle the wide range of operating conditions is developed. Using this simulator, identification of performance characteristics of chillers is conducted. The simulator predicts the performance of chillers with practical accuracy after adjusting the component specifications and cycle conditions to meet the performance at the standard operational conditions in a catalog. Data-based subprogram that is based on the multi-dimensional data for operational characteristics of chillers is also developed. The subprogram has stable and fast computational characteristics.
