We have developed a new type of a recursive temporal filter with a nolinear processing called an absolute 3 minimum circuit. The new recursive temporal filter overcomes the drawbacks like edge draggoings or remaining pictures, which are typical of a conventiuonal temporal filter. We have obtained good results when we have applied the new recursive temporal filter to a MUSE encoder.
