A 2/3-inch 2M-pixel CMD image sensor has been developed. This sensor was designed to include the interlaced / progressive multi-scanning mode and the electronic shutter. The progressive scanning mode brought out the horizontal and the vertical limiting resolutions of 1000 TV lines. The power dissipation was measured to be 160 mW at the frame frequency of 30 Hz. The low blooming level of -110 dB was achieved.
