Head height of VTR changes at a high-speed rotation. The biggest reason is transformation of cylinder by centrifugal force. By using N_2-DYE LASER as light-source and by using Image Processing, head height is measured with precision. The LASER is used because its flashing time is enough short to take the image of a rotating head at a high-speed(over 50m/s). Some countermeasures are made up to decrease this displacement.
