The SPARCstorage Array is a products family of storage subsystem, that enables larger capacity, higher performance, and higher availability for environments with demanding disk I/O requirements. The SPARCstorage Array contains two key technologies. Fibre Channel is a promising, high perfomance interconnect standard designed for communications between high performance workstations, peripherals, and large host systems. RAID is to combine the power of small, inexpensive drives to achieve performance equal to a single large, expensive disk.
