抄録
This study is on necessity and method of block improvement design. In low-rise, high-density housing area, sites become smaller and smaller, and density becomes higher and higher. Consequently there will be no comfortable open spaces in blocks.
In the first part, it is proved from some viewpoints (following) that block improvement design is necessary in this housing area.(1) Blocks in the law or the public enterprise (2) Block improvement and building improvement (3) Open spaces in blocks
In the next part, it is argued about an ideal arrangement of houses in one block, and proposed that enclosed blocks (blocks enclosed by houses) is the best style.
