The purpose of this study is to investigate how residents of guest houses use the common space for their personal exchange according to three scale types-10 or fewer, 11 to 30, 31 or more people.
The results are summarized as follows. 1) Most residents always use common space for exchanges such as common meal, chat, TV viewing. 2) The dormitory-room residents use common space frequently single-room residents. This is because many dormitory-room residents not to be disturbed for other residents of same room. 3) The guest houses of small scale (10 or fewer people) make communication easier between the residents. 4) The residents ask advice from landlord to resolve the problem in guest house.
