Abstract
Three new species of muricacean gastropods are described that are apparently endemic to Cocos Island, Costa Rica. These are Favarita cocosensis n. sp., which has no close congeners in the eastern Pacific ; Muricopsis westonensis n. sp., which has a papillose protoconch more typically found in the Ocenebrinae genus Trachypollia Woodring, 1928 and Coralliophila rocasuciae n. sp., which differs mophologically from all of its congeners by the presence of apertural denticles.
