Abstract

Salinator takii Kuroda was abundant at Hama, Ariake Sea, which is the new habitat of this species. The full grown larva has the shell, similary characterized to the adult, but the larval shell differs from the adult by the spiral threads. This is the characteristic feature of the larva. The eggs form the egg-mass by the gelatinous substance around the egg, ribbon in shape. The gonad was ripe at about the end of May to the middle of June. The eggs hatch at about the middle of June.
