Abstract

“Fractional view display” is the 3D Display that can represent the “ spatial image”, - or the appearance of objects. It can represent a “ spatial image” although it is constructed by simple hardware, because the directions of rays are able to calculated very correctly. Spatial image is the image that constructed by not interleaving several views, but sampling the rays in real space. The methods using spatial image can provide observers more natural 3D images than multi-view method can do.Because of sampling the rays impartially, Fractional view method can provide the more “ seamless view” than multi-view method, and higher resolution than the other spatial imaging method.
