Some nitrogen-containing derivatives of 3-coumarylacetic acid and 3-(3, 4-dihydrocoumaryl)-acetic acid were synthesized and their physiological properties were investigated, as follows: Coumaryl-acetdiethyl amide (m.p. 93°), -dimethyl amide (m.p. 138°), 3-(3, 4-dihydrocoumaryl)-acetdiethyl amide (b.p.0.2 151°), -dimethyl amide (m.p. 94°), β-diethylaminoethyl 3-coumaryl-acetate (picrolonate, m.p. 154° (decomp.)), β-dimethylaminoethyl 3-coumaryl-acetate (picrolonate, m.p. 206°), β-diethylaminoethyl 3-(3, 4-dihydrocoumaryl)-acetate (picrolonate, m.p. 152° (decomp.)), β-dimethylaminoethyl ester (picrolonate, m.p. 194° (decomp.)).
