4-Aminoquinazoline 3-Oxideのジアゾメタンによるメチル化について

4-Aminoquinazoline 3-oxide (I) had been obtained by Adachi¹⁾ by the application of hydroxylamine to 4-methoxy-(II) or 4-phenoxyquinazoline (III) and this reaction route was assumed to be as shown in Chart 1. I is an acid substance and would probably be present in a tautomeric system in a solution, as shown in Chart 2. Application of diazomethane to I afforded 3-methoxy-4-methylimino-3, 4-dihydroquinazoline (V) and 3-methoxy-4-imino-3, 4-dihydroquinazoline (VI), and the route of their formation was assumed to be as shown in Chart 3.
