Inhibitory activities of N', N''-substituted-AET on rat liver monoamine oxidase and on cholinesterase of mouse plasma and rabbit red cell were investigated. Among the tested compounds, N'-arylated-AET markedly inhibited monoamine oxidase and plasma cholinesterase, but these compounds did not inhibit red cell cholinesterase. Relationship between the inhibitory activities of the enzyme and the pharmacological actions was discussed.
