A specific and highly sensitive method for the determination of glycyrrhetinic acid (G) by gas chromatography is described. G was extracted from a mixture of biological media and was converted to the trimethylsilyl derivative with bis (trimethylsilyl) acetamide which was estimated by using vitamin K2 as internal standard as shown in Fig.1.
