Abstract

Nitroarenes are recognized as one of the most important compounds because they would be key compounds for preparing pharmaceuticals as well as a number of materials. In this short review, recent progress on the regioselective preparation of nitroarenes using electrophilic-(RONO₂) or nucleophilic nitrating agents (RONO) are described.
