Abstract
Synthesis of 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrabromobenzene was not reported except one paper published during the 1800's, and its details have not ever been published. Now, 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrabromobenzene was systematically synthesized in our laboratory.
Reaction products were examined by IR and elemental analyses, and the final product was identified as 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrabromobenzene by instrumental analyses (IR, NMR, GC). Finaly its melting point was measured both by usual method and DTA curve.
