  • 熱損失係数が1.3W/m2Kレベルの住宅を主たる対象とした調査

    In this study, we researched the thermal performance of well-insulated detached houses in Hokkaido. The heat loss coefficients of these houses are mainly around 1.3W/m2K. The space heating and hot-water supply systems use electricity in many of these houses. The results of our research are as follows: 1) Remarkably high temperatures were not found in these houses during summer. This is probably because of cross-ventilation and a small amount of solar heat gain. 2) The room temperature is stable throughout heating season, in spite of the high thermal performance. 3) The factors that influence the room temperature in each season were verified using multiple regression analysis. 4) The primary energy consumption of well-insulated houses with electric heating devices is greater than that of conventional houses equipped with fossil fuel boilers.

    Great attention has been shown to the question about the building design and arrangement considering urban ventilation. Recent years have witnessed the appearance of several studies and rating systems from this perspective. It might be included a wind environment rating system of CASBEE-HI as a representative example. Curiously, despite the rise of studies about this rating system as an academic discipline, few have attempted to address its effectiveness.
    This paper presents verification of effectiveness of a wind environment rating system of CASBEE-HI. The verification process consists of calculating the score of CASBEE-HI of random cases and numerical simulation using CFD. The results of CFD are then compared to the score of CASBEE-HI by correlation analysis. It is described from results that how a wind environment of built area is being described by a wind environment rating system of CASBEE-HI. Proceeding from what has been said in this paper, it should be concluded that a wind environment rating system of CASBEE-HI is a debatable issue.

    In this study, considering the outdoor air quality when natural ventilation estimated that high concentrations due to the closure of the opening, that aims to determine the impact on the reduction of cooling load.
    We calculate the airflow and contaminant concentration distribution with CFD analysis in the three models, the results are reflected, thermal and airflow network analysis was performed by annual meteorological data.
    One result of analysis that openings were restricted to prevent the flow of outdoor pollutants, total natural ventilation time was about 50% shorter. And the cooling load was decreased by 10%.

    In the production of wood, the trees which are not suitable for lumber such as thin and warped trees are left in the forest as thinnings. The woody biomass energy is considered as one of the way to use the timber offcuts. In this thesis, the abundance of the woody biomass and the amount of carbon stock are calculated according to the survey of the felling records of national and private forest areas, in the Chubu Sangaku area of Nagano prefecture. Following results were obtained by researches.
    1. The amount of the timber offcuts were 533,000 m3/5 years in Chubu Sangaku area of Nagano prefecture.
    2. The amount of carbon stock of the lumbers were 27,800 t-C/5 years,and the timber offcuts were 100,000 t-C/5years.
  • PFI手法の有効性及び省エネルギー効果の評価

    This paper discussed the evaluation of the validity and the energy saving effects by PFI method in setting up air-conditioners into public schools. The main results are as follows;
    1)As for installing air-conditioning into public schools, the number of cases where air-conditioners are set up in elementary or secondary schools at one time, is increasing. We use lease and PFI (Private Finance Initiative) method in many cases. We have two strengths for lease method; (a) merit on financing, (b) easiness for installing. On the other hand, PFI method has more advantages such as risk transference to private companies, utilization of private companies' operation know-how as well as merit for financing, and PFI method is a more useful way to use private companies' know-how.
    2) We found that, in the schools where PFI method is adopted, the energy consumption by air-conditioner was lower than in the schools where conventional or lease method was adopted. For this reason, we have two specific points; (a) the latest model whose running cost was very low was adopted, (b) private operators are surely implementing maintenance and instruction for operation.

    Japan experienced an electricity crisis in the summer of 2011 because of the earthquake and tsunami. The government urged companies and households to reduce their peak-level electricity consumption by 15% of that in the previous summer. We conduct an ex-post evaluation on the electricity-saving efforts in the residential sector, by a questionnaire survey of 2,970 households. The result shows that 10% saving was achieved on average after the weather normalization adjustment. We elaborate the differences in the electricity conservation rate by household types. Moreover, the main conservation measures are analyzed by both the econometric-based method and the engineering-based method.
