    This report is an addition to the "STUDY ON LOW PRESSURE STEAM CURING METHOD OF CONCRETEP RODUCTS (Part 1)". As previously described, green concrete is cured by high temperature steaming at about 100℃. The behaviour (tensile strength, bond strength and drying shrinkage) of thus cured concrete is proved by experiments as follows : 1) The tensile strength of the high temperature cured concrete (ordinary PC, ω/c : 55%) was 19〜22kg/(cm)^2 and the effect of steam curing period and age was hardly noticed. F_t/F_c value was below 0.1, slightly lower than the concrete cured at normal temperatures. 2) The bond strength of the concrete cured at high temperatures with reinforcing bar showed almost same values regardless of the directions of reinforcing bar (horizontal or vertical). The lowering of bond strength of horizontal reinforcing bar usual with the concrete cured at normal temperatures was scarcely observed. 3) The drying shrinkage of the concrete cured at high temperatures (ω/c : 65%, 3 hours' curing) was approximately 3×(10)^<-4> at the age of 60 days. The shrinkage deformation was reduced to almost half compared with the same of the concrete cured at normal temperatures.

    Time from mixing to placing of concrete has various effects on the property of it, and it is described in JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) A-5308 (Ready-Mixed Concrete) that the concrete shall be delivered to the site of the work and discharge shall be completed within 1(1/2) hr. after the introduction of the mixing water to the cement and aggregates, or the introduction of cement to aggregate. Concerning this problem, the investigation of time of haul of approximately 1000 truck-mixers was carried out at 18 job-sites in Tokyo. Results of investigation were as follows : - 1) Waiting-time of truck-mixer at job-site is respectably long. (2/3) of runing-time on average of 18 sites) 2) Ratio of mean waiting-time to mean survice (i. e. placing) time is affected by ratio of mean placing time to mean interval of arrivals of trucks, i. e. traffic density. 3) Probability density of runing-time from a plant to a site is represented by follwing Erlang's function [numerical formula] where t=runing time (minute) 1/v=expectation of runing time (minute) k=phase of Erlang's function 4) Probability density of waiting time is represented as follows : [numerical formula] where t=waiting time (minute) w=expectation of waiting time (minute) Based on above consideration, calculation charts of probability of time from mixing to placing being over than specified are presented and procedure of control of time is suggested.

    1) In all types of collapse mechanisms, each test specimen carrys yield load and maximum strength the value of which are about 10〜30 percents greater than theoretical values by Plastic Hinge Method. Lateral deformations at starting points of unrestrained plastic flows are about 10 percents larger than calculated values which involve shear deformations. 2) Each Specimen maintains adequate plastic rotation capacity and carrys almost a constant strength after local buckling of flange plates. Local bucklings will not fall the frame immediately into collapse. Usually final states are restrained by lateral bucklings of the frames. 3) General form of hysteresis loop is a spindler shape and of "Softening Type". Hysteresis loop will become in steady state within a few cycles of repeated loadings and be stable in increasing deformations after yieldings. Critical deformations are influenced remarkably by axial forces. Rigidities under repeated loadings after yieldings decrease about 10% in final states. 4) Dissipated energy per one cycle over yield point increase almost linearly. As compared equivalent viscous damping coefficient h_<eq> with specific damping capacity d_s, the latter will be more available for non-linear range. In final state, h_<eq> is 0.17 and d_s is 0.85. 5) Formal representations of skeleton curves will be in good coincidence with experimental curves. Compared damping energy and equivalent viscous damping coefficient on the basis of the formal representation, we found remarkably good indentifications.

    This report presents the theoretical analysis of shear force of reinforced concrete walls after cracks. In theoretical analysis, reinforced concrete wall after cracks is replaced a orthogonal anisotropic elastic panel of which principal axis inchine to horizontal and vertical axis at forty-five degrees. Analysis of anisotropic elastic panel is performed by finite differences method and its calculation, by I.B.M. 7090 electronic computer. Conclusicens of analysis are as follows, 1) The coefficient of shear force concentration of reinforced concrete walls after cracks, α is not affected by steel ratio, ρ and height-widlth ratio of panel, λ in case of which the efficient young modulus of tensile concrete, μ is frome 1.0 up to 0.5. In case that μ is below 0.5, α become large in inverse-proportion of ρ. 2) The lowering coefficient of bearable shear-force by cracks, β is not affected by ρ, λ in case that μ is frome 1.0 to 0.1 but below μ=0.1, β decrease violently by ρ. 3) Seismic-distribution coefficient of reinforced concrete walls of ultimate condition is assigned to be one-tenth of seismic-distribution coefficient of wall before cracks-occurrence.

    The primary object of this investigation is to establish numerical values for the dissipation damping and on the preceding report of same title part-1, the simplified method of evaluating dissipation damping was illustrated. This method satisfactory proved in good agreement with not only severe solutions proposed by several authors, but also observed practical data which were experimentally obtained from a simple given foundation-soil system. The principle of the method is easily developed for more complicated mass-soil systems and tne oscillatory motions of actual rigid building can be evaluated. As a serial instalment, the natural frequency at a free vibration and oscillatory motions under seismic load for a given rigid structure with circular footing were discussed on this paper with consideration of dissipation damping. By the investigative work described on this paper, the characteristics of disspation damping were concretely revealed. These analytical products will be very profitable to the dynamic analysis of actual rigid structure under seismic load.

    An application of an expanded bolt to joint work of steel structure is described. The bolt with hole along its axis was fitted into a hole bored in parts of steel structure and was expanded by using an explosive device. The results of tests demenstrated that the bolt could successfully be expanded 1.5-2.0mm in diameter of the trunk, and that its shearing strength was comparable to that of a rivet in the same diameter. The bolt has many advantages as following. Namely, (1) by using this bolt, the joint work can be done quickly, easily and surely, (2) this bolt can be used in rainy weather, (3) the bolt more larger size than that of an ordinary rivet is available, (4) the bolt can reduce the expense of joint works.

    Because of the original Renard's numbers are the real numbers, so it is used to round their fractions. Of cause the rounded numbers do not behave in the same way as the original numbers do. for instance, all of the multiplications does not yield the a rounded numbers again. Would it be impossible that the manner of the real Renard's numbers exten. Would it be impossible to extend the manner of the original Renard's numbers to the rounded numbers? In this paper, the auther present a new criticism on the rounding system with the two conceptions named "Dismuch case" and "Noisy number".

    Up to the previous reports, I pointed out the remarkable enlarging trend of deflections in the distributions of urban dwelling unit space. On same above tendencies, this report gives some additional analyses in main cities and all over prefectures. The m-σ diagram induced by Gibrat distribution shows "the urban effect", it is different trend contrasted to the ordinary changing trend of distribution types. It is supposed that "the urban effect" is caused mainly by the recent distribution trend of unit space in exclusive use for dwellings.

    "Honto-Cho" was used as a data-book for estimation for building houses by "Daitoryo", who was the chief carpenter under "Edo-Shogunate". "Honto-Cho" is collected in the Hibiya-Libray in Tokyo. The meaning of "Honto" is the standard price of goods originally, and it was used in audit in "Kanjo-Kata"-auditorial government office in "Edo-Shogunate". And then, "Honto" came to be used as the standard labor or trouble of construction works, and the standard wage. "Honto-Cho" was the data-book of the standard labor and wage of carpenter, mason, black-smith, tinman, fixture-carpenter, roofer, scaffold-keeper, lacquerer, painter, and carrier, etc.
