For conducting the production of large-scale horticultural organization, the upgrading of information infrastructure should be necessary.
Three personal computers were used. And they were connected by the Peer-to-Peer LAN (Local Area Network). It was set up with a method of Peer-to-Peer. Windows NT and Windows 95 were used as OS, and application softwares "MS Access" were developed on the basis.
The following three systems were prepared as the system operated under LAN;
"a business management system", "a registration system in attendance time" and "a system for recording processes of cultivation". "An electronic mail" was used for communication. As the server side system, "an analyzable system of sales slips" and "a general affairs control system" were prepared.
These systems were experimentally operated for ten months by staffs of a laboratory. As a result, LAN was conceivable as the effective means that support large-scale horticultural organization. However, for constructing LAN systems, it was important to train a system manager and to provide guidance system.
