From the investigation of whether the anamnestic reaction is induced or not by the administration of the pituitary and adrenocortical hormons to the patients of viral hepatitis and livercirrhosis, having been once found autoliver-antibody in those circulating blood, and from clinical observations, the author obtained the followinig results: 1. In the patients of hepatitis and livercirrhosis administered ATCH, ACE or prednisolone, the autoliver-antibody appeared or increased in 73.7% of the cases administered ACE, in 40.0% of those administered ACTH, however the antibody could not scarecely be found in those odministered prednisolone. 2. Following the administration of prednisolone the autoliver-antibody titer in the blood roughly paralleled to the degree of liver impairment, Therefore, the increase of this antibody after the administration of prednisolone was thought to be due to the secondary antibody production caused by functional and morphological changes in the liver. Consequently this increase of the antibody may be different mechanism from that of anamnestic reaction following the administration of ACE or ACTH.
