Results of the clinical survey of 120 outpatients with asthma bronchiale who visited our clinic during 1960 were statistically analysed and following findings were obtained. 1. The frequency of asthmatic outpatients were higher in the third decade and in the sixth than in the others. 2. Fourty of the patients had their first attack before ten years of age, and 85% before thirty years of age. It was also noticed that there were many patients 20% whose first attack occurred in the third decade. 3. The frequency of asthmatic attacks was elevated in September, October, and November during a year, and from evening to dawn in a day. 4. The first attack in 70% of the patients was induced by common cold or rhinitis, and that of 30% by inhalation of house dust or smoke. 5. A coldweather, a weather before rain or storm, common cold, overeating or strain also proved to have some relation to indure attachs. 6. Positivity of cutaneous tests by inhalatory allergens was as follows: when examined by wheal, house dust 60%, Japanese short ragweed 24%, short ragweed 38%, giant ragweed 28%, western ragweed 53%, Japanese ceder 32% and red pinetree 19% respectively, and when examined by erythema house dust 73%, Japanese short ragweed 33%, short ragweed 47%, giant ragweed 36%, western ragweed 56%, Japanese ceder 32% and red pinetree 25% respectively. 7. Family history of allergic diseases proved positive in 85% of the patients. Thirty-six % of the patients had urticaria in their past histories and 14% had eczema.
