Three different exercise tolerance tests for asthmatic children were examined. Subjects: 25 EIA positive asthmatic children (18 male, 7 female). Methods: 1)Treadmill, 10 degree, 6 km/hr, 6 min. 2)Cycle ergometer, 300W. 3)Master one step, 24/min, 6 min. Results: No difference was found among "treadmill group", "cycle ergometer group" and "master one step group" in pulse rate, blood pressure (systolic and diastolic), FVC, FEV_<1.0>, and PFR. These results indicate that the master one step method is as useful as other exercise tolerance tests for examining EIA.
