This paper deals with 5 araneid species from Buxa Tiger Reserve, West Bengal, of which Neoscona raydakensis is described as new to science. Other species, Argiope pulchella THURELL, Gasteracantha diadesmia THORELL, Gasteracantha kuhli C. L. KOCH and Neoscona pavida (SIMON) are reported as new from Buxa forest.
A new species, Roncus ivanjicae CURCIC et CURCIC (Pseudoscorpiones: Neobisiidae) is described from western Serbia, Yugoslavia. It is illustrated and compared with its nearest known congener, R. satoi CURCIC et DIMITRIJEVIC, from southwestern Serbia (Yugoslavia). Notes are given on the habitat, distribution and validity of some diagnostic characters of some Roncus species.
