A new six-eyed pholcid spider belonging to the genus Khorata is reported from Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province, China, under the name: Khorata zhui sp. nov. The species is diagnosed, described and illustrated.
The male of Cyclosa alba is described. Partial sequences of mitochondrial CO1 gene are used for species determination of the male. The candidate male specimen has the same haplotype as females of C. alba and nested in a strongly supported molophyletic clade of C. alba.
A new harvestman species Zachaeus shachdag is described from the northern Azerbaijan and compared with congeners. The new species is distinguished by the structure of penis:shaft with characteristic dorsal keel and without lateral constriction.
Eight new harvestman species and one new genus are described from the mountains of Central Asia:Egaenus bajsun (Uzbekistan), Homolophus gricenkoi (Tadjikistan), H. chevrizovi (Tadjikistan), H. andreevae (Tadjikistan, Kyrgyzstan), H. silhavyi (Kyrgyzstan), H. chemerisi (Tadjikistan), Pamiropilio (gen. n.) tsurusakii (Tadjikistan) and P. naukat (Kyrgyzstan). To the newly described genus also Euphalangium suzukii &Scarn;ilhavý is included (comb. n.). Pamiropilio belongs to the recently separated tribe Opilionini.
