(1) The influence of the magnitude of the radius of the tube, through which air is passed, upon the oxidation velocity of sodium sulphite was observed. (2) The theoretical considerations on the result was described.
1. Starting from three postulates, the presence of “Acid nuleus” has been considered and a new idea “Induction valence” also introduced. 2. That “Oxy-acids” and “Per-acids” are nothing but “Acid nuclei” combined with water or hydrogen peroxide by means of “Induction valence” has been rendered clear.
