(1) Analysis was carried out on 210 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, dividing them into 4 types of the disease : hematogenous, exsudative active, cirrhotic, terminal-stage type. Extensiveness of the focus was divided into 3 categories : mild, middle, severe involvement. Observed types and extensiveness of involvement were discussed in relation to abnormalities of position type and T wave as recorded by φ-pattern.(2) There is incidence with high frequency of abnormal T wave in pulmonary tuberculosis. This is particularly so in those having active exsudative mechanisms over an extensive area of the lungs. This may be due to tubercle bacillus toxin or abnormal metabolic product in the lungs, and, partly, to increased resistance to the pulmonary circulation.(3) Incidence of vertical type, right axis deviation with high frequency, and that of normal type, level type, left axis deviation with low frequency in the pulmonary tuberculosis may be closely related to the lengthiness of the course and grade of exsudative mechanisms.
