3OH at 328 K. These Ti-oxide/FSM-16 photocatalysts exhibited high reactivity and selectivity for the formation of CH
3OH, its reactivity and selectivity showing a good relationship with the photoluminescence yield of the catalyst which can be attributed to the radiative decay from the charge transfer excited state of the tetrahedral coordinated titanium oxides.

2]
n (i-mnt = [(S
2C=C(CN)
2]
2−) has been prepared from the reaction of PdCl
2 and K
2[(S
2C=C(CN)
2] in CH
3CN. The complex has three dimensional network structure, in which two Pd, two K, four S, four N and twelve C atoms form a 24-membered ring, and the rings are further arranged in eclipsed configuration along
c axis to give a channel with H
2O as guest molecules.

Large scale supramolecular self-assembly was prepared by using poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) macromonomer-g-poly(styrene) (PSt) copolymers. The ordered structure of mesh- and crater-like morphologies were obtained depending on St/macromonomer ratio and the solution concentration.

Self-assembled monolayers of
N-octadecylbenzamide (ODB) and
N-8-quinolyloctadecanamide (ODQ) have been observed on the solution-solid interface by scanning tunneling microscope (STM). ODB molecules form stripe shaped lamella structure whereas ODQ gave a mosaic pattern in which four molecular sets are interlocked alternately like jigsaw pieces.

A series of 2,6-bis(2,2′-dicarbalkoxyethyl)pyridine ligands were prepared. A couple of the ligands linked by a
trans-PdCl
2 unit extracted alkali metal ions from an aqueous media into a chloroform media, while a single pyridine ligand did not work as an extractive reagent.
