1 show a strong Faraday ellipticity at ∼470 nm associated with the LMCT band of the Fe–CN bond. Its intensity increases with lowering temperature due to ferromagnetic ordering over the lattice. Compound
2 is paramagnetic and shows no remarkable Faraday effect.

Synthesis, structure and physical properties of novel π-electron donors containing a TTF moiety and a PROXYL radical within a single molecule designed for the development of magnetic conductors are reported. We also clarified the physical properties of the iodine complex of the ethylenedithio derivative.

Palladium(0) nanoparticles were obtained in high densities from a novel type reverse micelle (or W/O microemulsion) of bis(
N-octylethylenediamine)palladium(II) chloride (=[Pd(oct-en)

3). The shape of the nanoparticles was largely affected by the phase of the additive, sodium boron hydride (=NaBH
4) reductant, and by the replacement of a small amount of water with methanol.

3 nanowires with a typical width of 30 nm and length up to 8 μm were synthesized through the reaction between SbCl
3 and elemental selenium with sodium sulfite as reducing reagent in diethylene glycol solution. The composition of the products was identified using EDX and XPS. The possible reaction mechanism was also discussed.
