    To study the sound insulation of concrete in terms of air borne and solid borne sound, we analyzed general characteristics of each as well as the problems to be discussed.
    In respect of insulation of air borne sound, the characteristics of sound insulation under the mass law and the reduction of transmission loss by the coincidence effect, are discussed. For application in field works, the effects on gap and technical method of wall construction, are also studied.
    In respect of the sound insulation of solid borne sound, the sound reduction characteristics for the impact on floor, the thickness of slab and the level of floor impact sound, and the vibration characteristics on the floor when the slab is impacted, were experimentally studied. For prevention, the surface finishing materials of slab and floating floor construction were discussed together with the effect according to the standard of the Architectural Institute of Japan.

    Autoclaved products such as gas concrete (ALC) and high strength concrete pipe for foundation have been widely used in many fields in architectual engineering and civil engineering. This paper explained, the hydrothermal reaction of calcious material (lime, portland cement) and silicious material under high pressure and saturated steam condition, its relationship to the high strength development, and the mechanism of attaining high strength of concrete. Some typycal features on mechanical properties were also described.

    A fter the intensive research work on multi-continuous RC hollow slab bridge in the Japan Highway public Cooperation, ten spans continuous structure was adopted and constructed at a part of Kanazawa viaduct. Many kind of inspecting devices were installed in this bridge to investigate design value and to collect design data for this type of structure And the long term investigation on the behavior was started.
    This report describes the analysis for the one-year's observation that is the influence of the temperature and shrinkage on the ten spans continuous RC hollow slab bridge.

    This report describes a part of the design and the construction of a 15000 cubic meters effective volume of prestressed concrete water-tank, built on the poor-loam-subsoil reaching to 24 meters height, at “T” city, Saitama prefecture.
    The tank has a 34.2 meters inside diameter, a 17.0 meters effective water depth and 300 sets of 24.0 meters long autoclaved high strength concrete pile, partially reinforced by a sheet of thin steel plate.
    This report contains a dynamic analysis of the tank-pile-ground, total system, an analysis of the increasing stress at the wall of the tank due to the seismic hydraulic pressure and controll methods for piling and prestressing.
