This paper investigates the formation process of social capital between the participators to microfinance activity and prestigious people in Bangladesh. After comparing the social capital index of participators and non-participators based on N.Lin’s ”position generator” method, the relationship between the participation and the social capital index is examined. The hypothesis that the participation contributes to increase the social capital is accepted statistically. The practical formation process via microfinance activities is also clarified by questionnaire survey and the case study.
