An evaluation of a townscape ,consisted of buildings designed to conserve the landscape, by tourists is important for a tourist site that owns a traditional scene in order to create a new local brand in the future. Therefore, I analyzed evaluations of a townscape in Oharaimachi street, Ise City, by tourists with a photograph posted on SNS. As a result, I found we can classify two types of photograph, was shot by a photographer focusing on design of traditional buildings and others. It was realized that some tourists are interested in the traditional buildings and evaluate the design of traditional buildings. The other hand, some tourists are interested in other things on the street and enjoy the scenes without the traditional buildings. In the upcoming time, tourist sites that owns a traditional scene need to create a value not only themselves but also with tourists who are interested a townscape and the others.

In this study, we developed a method for generating omnidirectional depth images from corresponding omnidirectional RGB images of streetscapes by learning each pair of omnidirectional RGB and depth images created by computer graphics using pix2pix. Then, the models trained with different series of images shot under different site and weather conditions were applied to Google street view images to generate depth images. The validity of the generated depth images was then evaluated visually. In addition, we conducted experiments to evaluate Google street view images using multiple participants. We constructed a model that estimates the evaluation value of these images with and without the depth images using the learning-to-rank method with deep convolutional neural network. The results demonstrate the extent to which the generalization performance of the streetscape evaluation model changes depending on the presence or absence of depth images.

From the beginning of the birth of urban planning theory, there have been always seeks to plan the better community through physical planning. The trends of those “community planning” changed from the idea to “construct a planned-community in suburban area as a new satellite city” to the approach to regenerate the built environment. One of the current community planning practices in European cities have been found in the URBACT program. During the three different terms from 2002 to 2020, the URBACT has diversified central theme from community development. This study examines one of the URBACT projects, so-called RE-Block, which has been carried out the creation of public spaces and new urban facilities, publicity activities and management of local websites. In suburban New Towns which have been developed to cope with population concentration in large cities during the high economic growth period, the declining birthrate and aging population are advancing. Under this circumstance, measures are being taken to promote parent-child proximity residence by the Urban Renaissance Agency and many local governments. This study aims to clarify the trend of choosing a place of residence and the characteristic of parent-child interaction by nearby households, and we conducted a questionnaire survey to residents in Hokusetsu-Sanda New Town. From the results, the children tend to live around NT while considering the proximity to their parents in NT and to have considered more about the proximity when choosing their place of residence as the parent-child temporal distance is shorter. In addition, it was suggested that the purpose and frequency of parent-child interaction differ from the age of the parent and child, and the frequent childcare support and mutual life support are possible by parent-child proximity residence.

In such cases, it is necessary that the nurseries devise methods in order not to impair functions of urban parks. In this study, I assumed that contributions by the nurseries help to improve the public use of the park. I conducted questionnaire and interview surveys on 16 nurseries and some related local governments to analyze the present situation. Based on the result, the nurseries’ public service facilities such as ‘toilets’ and ‘suckling rooms’ are shared by the public, and the nurseries have safety issues of kids in the nurseries and staffs of nurseries when nurseries contribute to the public.

On the Tamakushi River in the Akegawa east area of Yao City which I covered this time, environmental functions such as ecology and landscape are lacking. In the future, it is requested to make the Tamakushi river that provides beautiful scenery and moisture that blends into the life as a bridge of the babbling. Therefore, in this research we conducted a questionnaire and on-site survey, and aimed to examine the consciousness structure such as the current situation and improvement points of Tamakushi river. The result of the questionnaire revealed the lack of natural function. From the field survey, in addition to the poor natural environment, it was found that activities closer to the residents' lives are important as improvement points. In light of the above, in order to promote area management in this district, it is important to clarify activities that residents can themselves to improve on the natural environment around Tamakushi river and to implement them by setting rules for them.
