    In Japan, so-called “hot-spring cures” have long been popular. However, from the end of the World War II and throughout the period of rapid economic growth, large ryokan were built one after another in hot spring resorts throughout the country. Since the bursting of the economic bubble, these have resulted in the impoverishment of the below spa towns in many cases, and so the function of hot springs in health and recuperation is being reconsidered. In this paper, we paid attention to France in which the social security system is applied to balneotherapy. The result showed that medical fees and Treatment cost, as well as hotel expenses and traveling expenses, is paid through the social security system. It was also described for actually performed by balneotherapy of programs.

    In the late 17th century, feudal loads played a major role in spread Gongen-style buildings through provincially area. This paper considered it from the analysis of the buildings how feudal loads received Gongen-style. It became clear that Gongen-style building built by feudal lords did not conform to the constitution that the Shogunate including main shrine, stone-hall, and and votive offering hall formalized, although it was considered that there was an example of the Shogunate which made a model of it.
