Although Teleradiology System was developed as a tool to aid remote diagnostic imaging, it can also increase the efficiency of Hospital cooperation from another perspective. Therefore, the Teleradiology Network System was designed to offer advanced medical services. For some time, this institution and clinic had received requests from the dental clinic which needed Computed Tomography (CT) examination of a jawbone or other area and had been using an examination information request-origin with CD of FILM or Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (henceforth, DICOM) form. The existing infrastructure was used in a new manner to increase efficiency at a reasonable cost by constructing the Teleradiology System, using a comparatively firm Internet Protocol-Virtual Private Network (following IP-VPN) and two other commercial networks for multiplex. The operating system provides a direct picture output, and increased efficiency was providing by building a WAN system. Exchanging data in this manner also prevented mistakes produced from insufficient knowledge in a field that is not the department's specialty and avoided the necessity to redo analysis processing of various kinds of picture information after examination. Moreover, improvement in medical services is also expected.
