A discrepancy was found among the values of our 25 r, 100 r and 250 r Victoreen condenser chambers to same exposure doses. So some comparisons of these three Victoreen chambers were made. The 25 r chamber was standardized against the standard free air chamber of the Electro-technical Laboratory of Japan and it was used as the reference chamber in our department. The 100 r and 250 r chambers were calibrated against the 25 r chamber. Within the energy ranges from 48 keV to 150 keV, exposure doses obtained by using 100 r chamber were deviated from the minimum value of +3 % to the maximum value of + 8 %. In the case of 250 r chamber the deviation was very wide from -12 % to -16 %. Those results indicate that the adequate correction must be made in each radiation measuring instrument which is used for the measurement of radiation dose in roentgen.

I analyzed the clinical pictures, roentgenographic findings and laboratry data in 8 cases of the so-called traumatic arthritis of the temporo-mandibular joint which were found among a total 137 cases of diseases in the same joint observed during a period of 8 months begining December 1, 1963.
    (1) Acute contusion of temporo-mandibular joint was encountered in two cases and the subacute or chronic development of arthritis was found in 6 cases.
    (2) The traffic accident was the most frequent cause of the trauma (1/3) and the site of the direct force of the trauma was the mandibular and mental regions. Therefore, the cause of the arthritis was apparently the indirect or transmitted force from the primary site of trauma.
    (3) Arthritic process of relatively mild degree, not associated with open wound or dislocation, was found in the present series of cases.
    (4) Roentgenographic examination revealed neither changes in the bony architecture nor adhesion in the joint. The forward movement of the condylar process in opening the mouth was, however, limited on the lateral view.
    (5) No abnormality in laboratry data was found.

This case is a 15 year old patient of cretinism who recieved the thyroid treatment in past. No skeletal abnormality can be disclosed on roentgenograms but the dental roentgenograms show the malformation of dental crown. The dental roentgenograms often provide valuable information in the recognition and diagnosis of endocrine disease.

Since 1957, we have had a periodical dental roentgenographic examination on a group of 304 children in Takada city. We observed in one case among them a characteristic resorption of root ofleft upper incisor. In this case, left upper central incisor and canine erupted in normal position and no malposed or embedded supernumerical teeth were detected by roentogenological examination but remarkable resorption of root of lateral incisor was observed. It is evaluated by retrospective observation on roentgenograms taken annually during past 8 yearsthat cause of the resorption is due to the eruptiveforce of permanent canine and not due to idiopathic origin. The roentgenogram shows a similar finding of resorption of root of right upper incisor but anyconfusion does not occur because embedded canine is detected as usual.
