    (1) Biometrically, body build of subjects was a neutral type between the heavy muscular worker type of Japanese farmers and the fragile type of townsman.
    (2) Basal metabolic rate was higher than the Japanese standard value about by 10%, but not so high as those obtained before.
    (3) Serum protein showed rather a higher level in comparison with their haemoglobin level, as usually had been shown among the farmers surveyed before.
Serum cholesterol concentration was slightly more than 200mg/dl in average, and the group of high blood pressure had a higher cholesterol concentration.
    (4) Excretion of nitrogen was less than 9g for male and 8g for female, and those of creatinine and 17-ketosteroid were also in lower level than the Japanese average.
Excretion of sodium chloride ranged around 17g per day.
    (5) Among fourteen kinds of nutrients and drugs administered half a year, methyltestosteron had the most effectiveness to lower cholesterol concentration and blood pressure, pantothenic acid, B1, estriol, orotic acid, B6, niacine, C, lecithin following.

Time study of the sea-side school life was carried out on the middle school boys and girls. Their energy consumption per day was also estimated from the timestudy and the relative metabolic rate of each activity.
Results obtained showed that their energy consumption per day amounted to 2809 Cal. for the boy and 2759 for the girl, which exceed the standard value of calorie requirement for Japanese by more than ten per cent.
