Artificial fish shelters which had been set on submarine sand substrata off the middle of
Hyuganada after 1956, were observed by using diving technique. Depression of the substrata around
shelters by current was 1.0-2.5m in breadth from those outer edge, and 0.3-1.0m in depth.
Regardless of elapsed time from 4 to 22 years, shelters have little been buried in the substrata, and
their burying depths were within the range of 0.1-0.3m. When concrete blocks were set adjacent
to each other, fish gathering effect could be expected.
